Optimizing Your Screen
|
The sharpness of images on a display depends on the resolution and screen size. Resolution is the number of pixels, or dots of color, viewable on a screen. Resolution is expressed as the number of pixels in a row and the number of pixels in a column (ex. 1280 x 800). Generally the higher the resolution, the sharper the image. Here's how to setup your computer for a better viewing experience. Right click the mouse in the desktop area. In other words, using your mouse, point your cursor at a clear area of the desktop and press the right mouse button. A dialog box will appear. Select Properties. Click on the tab called Settings. Locate the frame titled Screen Resolution and check to what numbers your screen is set. Drag the adjustment button to the right until your screen area measures 1024 x 768 pixels. You can always change it back if you don't like it. Also, check and make sure you have the highest colors available to you. Click the drop-down arrow in the Color Quality area and select the highest number color setting. Click OK. You may as well have it look as nice as possible, especially for photos. |
